Vortex gravity bong worth the high price?

My hand blown glass bong broke and i am looking for a new alternative to the average Tokers piece. I found the vortex on a web search and it looks nice ( used gravity bong before ). But my question is should i deal out 100$ for some plastic ( I think i already have my answer just wanted a second opinion besides my house mates who aren’t paying due to me breaking the original)

Get one inch PVC pipe at a hardware store and much less than $100 which is serious grass-cash. Have a toke for me bro.
